ICTC’s (42 hour - 7 weeks) CNC level-1 course will take participants through basic CNC setup and operations. Beginning with how to edit, load, run, and save NC programs, along with Setting tool, Part Zero and work offsets. The course is led by David Acuff, who is the full time CNC instructor for ICTC. David has more than 25 plus years of machining experience including G-code programming, setup and operations of various CNC machine tools.

> This course is designed to teach someone who knows very little
about CNC machining the very basics of CNC Technology. The
course will focus mainly on the knowledge needed to become a
competent setup - operator of Haas CNC equipment.
> Additional Contents covered: Hands on Instruction at the Machine;
cutting tools, stock material removal, along with Proper use of
Precision Measuring Tools and introduction to Print Reading.
> A Level 2 course (offered later) will focus more on editing and
G-code programming of CNC machines along with moving into
setup and operations of Mazak CNC machinery.

CNC machines utilized in this training: HAAS VF-2; HAAS mini mill;
HAAS Tool room lathe and HAAS simulators.
